As the HomoMoot launches the postal Self
Initiation Rites into our Celtic God, Karnayna, people have approached me, to ask what measures are in place to prevent forgery
or copying of the HomoMoot's rituals and texts.
In answer to this, all rituals and rites
of the HomoMoot are first and foremost Copyright of the HomoMoot (1997), and no part of any of the HomoMoot's liturgical works
may be copied, published, used in any public domain or broadcast without prior consent of the HomoMoot
Furthermore, to prevent photocopying of
any of the Liturgy of the HomoMoot's postal Self Initiation, all of the postal liturgy bears upon it, the Great Seal of the
HomoMoot Coven, in Wax. The Great Seal of the Coven is made up of a Celtic Rose and also, the High Priest's Signet-Ring, that
bears upon it, three diamonds and five straight lines, to represent the Eight Sabbats of the Year. The High Priest's Signet-Ring
is unqiue to the HomoMoot and custom made.
If you are in possession of any Initiation
Rites of the HomoMoot, that does not bear the Great Seal, it is not authentic. It must clearly bear the red wax Seal of the
HomoMoot, which if someone tries to remove, it will break apart. Any photocopies can easily be recognised as not authentic.
The use of Seals in Wax, to authenticate
documents, is a practice as old as writing itself. Seals in Witchcraft helps mantian authenticity by not allowing the reuse
of the Seal. Seals were used in the earliest civilisations; in for example, ancient Mesopotamia, Seals were engraved on cylinders,
which could be rolled to create an impression in clay. From ancient Egypt, Seals in the form of Signet-Rings of Kings have
also been found.
Light and Blessings.
